STRING CHARACTERISTICS

• Stiffer: more controlled, firmer response and lower launch.
• Softer: more cushioning and comfort, and higher launch.
• Shaped: edges enhance ball grip and spin potential.
• Round & slick: low friction promotes string movement and snapback.

MORE SPIN

Shaped edges on the mains grip the ball; slick crosses enhance snapback.

• Mains: a shaped string, such as A5 SPIN 1.23 or O-TORO 1.23.
• Cross: a slick, round string, such as O-TORO SNAP 1.25 or A5 1.25.

CONTROL & DURABILITY

Firmer mains give a predictable response and last longer.

• Mains: a stiffer string, such as O-TORO MAX 1.23, O-TORO TOUR 1.23 or A5 1.25.

COMFORT & FEEL

Smoother or lower-stiffness strings give a more plush feel.

• Cross: a softer, smoother string, such as TRUFFLE X 1.30 or WASABI X 1.23.

Softer or stiffer doesn’t always mean a less or more crisp feel. Truffle X: pre-stretch 5–10%.
