Sharper edges bite into the ball during upward swing paths, increasing ball grip and enhancing spin potential. Pairing these mains with a slick, round cross can further improve snapback for even more RPMs.

CONTROL/DURABILITY OPTIMIZATION

Select a stiffer string in the mains to improve control, durability, and tension stability.

Firmer mains resist deformation on impact, resulting in a more predictable response and longer-lasting playability. Within the O-TORO lineup, Tour Flex is a stiffer variation designed for players seeking maximum control and extended tension hold in a hybrid setup.

POWER/COMFORT OPTIMIZATION

Select a softer and smoother string—such as Truffle X or Wasabi X—in round or lightly shaped profiles to increase power and comfort.

Smoother strings reduce string-to-string friction, allowing the stringbed to deflect more freely on impact. This translates to higher energy return, added power, and a softer, more plush feel at contact.
