TRUFFLE X - Our Softest and Most Elastic String Ever

Meet Truffle X, our breakthrough ultra-soft tennis string engineered from a new polymer — not polyester. This innovative material delivers unmatched elasticity and comfort, making it the ultimate modern replacement for traditional multifilaments.

Where multifilaments shred, lose tension, and die out quickly, Truffle X holds strong, maintaining feel and playability while offering a uniquely plush response.

Truffle X has an insanely low static stiffness (think comfort)

For context, here are the static stiffness ratings of other strings for comparison:

  • Truffle X - 0.20 kg/mm
  • Babolat Natural Gut VS Touch 1.30 - 0.55 kg/mm
  • Tecnifibre NRG2 1.32 - 0.58 kg/mm
  • Wilson NXT 1.30 - 0.67 kg/mm
  • O-TORO - 0.95 kg/mm
  • Babolat RPM Blast 1.25 - 1.18 kg/mm

The dynamic stiffness is comparable to many top selling multifilaments on the market.

Gauge: 1.30mm (note: due to its elastic nature, Truffle X stretches under tension, resulting in a slimmer effective thickness)

Performance: Ultra soft, elastic, with explosive ball pocketing and pop.

Hybrid Use: Designed as a cross string, Truffle X pairs best with an ultra-slick co-poly main such as O-TORO, creating a blend of plush comfort and spin-loaded snapback.

Tension: While tension is personal to each player, we recommend stringing Truffle X at the same tension you would use for natural gut or a multifilament. Our team found 55 lbs with a 5% prestretch to be an ideal starting point.

With its modern polymer composition, Truffle X brings a new standard of comfort, feel, and elasticity to players who have long relied on multifilaments — but demand better durability and performance.

1 package includes 2 half sets (6.7M length per half set)

⚠️ Important Notice

Truffle X is made from an ultra-soft elastic material. Please exercise caution during installation:

Do not apply more than 35 lbs of force when tying off knots.

Be gentle when tying off knots, avoid overpulling or damaging the string.
